Overview:
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to drive company growth and expand market presence. This role focuses on lead generation, client acquisition, partnership development, and revenue growth while building strong relationships with prospective clients. The executive works closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align business development strategies with organisational objectives. Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills are essential to succeed in this results-driven role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify and generate new business opportunities: Research target markets, identify potential clients, and develop prospecting strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
Engage and qualify prospects: Conduct outreach through calls, emails, and networking to understand client needs, assess fit, and progress qualified leads through the sales funnel.
Develop and present proposals: Prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches that clearly communicate value propositions and address client requirements.
Negotiate and close deals: Lead contract discussions, pricing negotiations, and closing activities to secure new business and meet revenue targets.
Build and maintain client relationships: Establish strong, long-term relationships with prospects and clients to support repeat business and referrals.
Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth handover of new clients and alignment on service delivery.
Track performance and pipeline metrics: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, monitor pipeline health, and prepare reports on business development performance.
Monitor market trends and competitors: Analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities and refine strategies.
